A Minute to Midnight by David Baldacci
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The first Atlee book was my first read of 2019. Fittingly, this was my first novel of 2020. Baldacci, you’ve started me on a pattern so I expect to continue it in 2021.
This was another great entry into the Atlee series. It fleshed out her personal mystery of the past, while introducing a new serial killer tale. Again, it ended with a blatant (and rather obvious) sequel bait but I do believe we learned more about Atlee and her past to justify it.
The “main” mystery was quite engaging and well written. There were plenty of solid red herrings and misdirections, without being too over the top.
As I say with most of Baldacci’s works, I highly recommend this one.
