Apt Pupil: A Novella in Different Seasons by Stephen King
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Sometimes a friendship between an elderly man and a high school student can be a quasi grandfather and grandson relationship. Sometimes it can be a Nazi fueled dynamic of a slow descent into madness. This book errs on the side of the latter.
The two leads are equally twisted, but it's a Stephen King novella and should be expected. The plot moves at a brisk pace and is often over the top... Again to be expected. I want to check out the movie adaptation. Definitely worth the time as a different type of King book.
