The Readymade Thief by Augustus Rose
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
Despite such an intriguing premise, the best way to describe it is as simply a disappointing book. The book could not decide what it wanted to be - did it want to be a spy/heist novel, a conspiracy thriller, a love tale, or a coming of age story of a teenage girl growing up against bad circumstances? It did not do any of them well. Just as one thread started picking up, it was immediately dropped in favor another random plot tangent.
I just could not get into this audiobook at all, but kept trying to truck through in hopes it would get better. Sadly, it did not.
Don't waste your time - Hard pass on this book.
