Review: Lord of the Flies

Lord of the Flies by William Golding

I liked the premise of the story, but the execution in writing was sorely lacking. I had to go back and re-read passages many times and then eventually just pretend I understood how I was supposed to get from point A to point B. I'm not sure how this is regarded as a classic piece of literature, as the writing is not even close to good.
